Welcome to a Happier and Healthier You!

Many, if not most people experience difficulties as they navigate through life. At times, these difficulties rob them of joy and they experience overwhelming feelings of depression, stress, anxiety, insomnia, hopelessness, and even anger. I believe each of us has the potential to move through such times, but that potential is often lost in the background of these difficulties or was never encouraged in the developmental years.

Counseling, or therapy, can be the pathway to healing, discovery, acceptance, and joy. I view counseling as a partnership between the client, their families, and myself. By working in tandem (and often removing persons who do not want you to succeed) you can develop goals, re-write those nasty scripts you have posted on the walls of your brain, heal the hurts and emotional scars, and learn new skills that empower you to face the world with competence, assertiveness, and make better choices for yourself.

Mission

It is the mission of Still Waters Counseling Services to partner with individuals and families and enable them to discover their potential, enrich their lives, and develop healthier relationships.

Approach

My approach is threefold; education, skill building, and challenging negative thought patterns while replacing them with reality-based affirmations and empowering statements (cognitive-behavioral therapy).

Goal

My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where together, we can identify needs and develop an effective treatment in order to find the solutions and changes desired.
